The Gayatri series continues my exploration of sacred texts and symbols across different cultures, while reflecting an interest in the intersection between spirituality, the environment, and society. Comprising ten drawings, it translates the emerging sensations from listening to a prayer dedicated to the Hindu deity Gayatri. This experience took place during my recent trip to India, where, 28 years after our first meeting, I reunited with my first master in miniature painting.
